Our Trainings & Curriculum

Racial Literacy introduces concepts and skills that draw on Critical Race Theory, Reproductive Justice, and other antiracism frameworks, emphasizing introspection and storytelling as key starting points. The goals are to equip health providers with the interpersonal, communication, and analytical competencies involved in using a racial lens to improve patient care as well as engage in advocacy pertaining to institutional and structural change. It is critical to make academic medicine and the medical workforce more diverse, inclusive, and effective in working on our societal health care needs. To meet these needs it is essential that we mold our culture into a human infrastructure that values and nurtures the unique contribution that people of color bring to the medical workforce.

CERCL-FP is developing curriculum, and details are forthcoming.
